A harmonious whole
As a starting point, Juliette takes in every aspect of the home she’s working in, from how the rooms are used and flow together, to the architecture, natural light and outside areas. Each element will inform the design to ensure a harmonious whole. Once working on the interiors, Juliette begins with a palette of soft, neutral tones, which are gradually built upon - guided by client preferences, characteristics of the room and its focal points e.g a fireplace or textured walls. Other items may also need to be incorporated into the scheme, for example, clients’ furniture or artwork. Taking all these features into consideration, Juliette then works on layering the room with subtle patterns, differing textures and accents of complementary colours.
Blending contemporary with vintage
Never dictated to by the latest trends, Juliette’s years of experience and impressive range of suppliers enable her to confidently mix cool, contemporary furnishings with interesting vintage pieces for a balanced look. Plus, she keeps an eye out for new design ideas that can add an edge and are worth investing in.
